iQOO has officially revealed that it will be introducing its highly anticipated Neo 8 series smartphones at an upcoming event in China on May 23. In an exciting twist, the company has also announced that this event will mark the debut of their very first tablet, known as the iQOO Pad.
A teaser image released by iQOO showcases the design of the iQOO Pad, which appears to bear a striking resemblance to the vivo Pad2. This similarity is not entirely surprising, as speculations suggest that the iQOO Pad may be a variant of the vivo Pad2, with the distinction of being powered by the advanced Dimensity 9000+ chipset, instead of the Dimensity 9000.

According to recent reports, iQOO is set to unveil its Neo 8 series smartphones at an upcoming event in China on May 23. However, the company has now made an exciting announcement that adds to the anticipation—the event will also mark the debut of iQOO’s first-ever tablet, known as the iQOO Pad.
A teaser shared by iQOO provides a glimpse of the iQOO Pad’s design, which bears a resemblance to the vivo Pad2. This comes as no surprise, as it is believed that the iQOO Pad will be a variant of the vivo Pad2, featuring the powerful Dimensity 9000+ chipset instead of the Dimensity 9000.
If the rumors are accurate, the iQOO Pad will boast a large 12.1-inch LCD display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz and a resolution of 2,800×1,968 pixels. It is expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage, and will run on the Android 13-based OriginOS 3 operating system. Additionally, the tablet is rumored to house a robust 10,000mAh battery that supports 44W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
In terms of cameras, the iQOO Pad is said to feature an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, while the primary camera setup will include a 13MP sensor alongside a 2MP macro unit. It is worth noting that the iQOO Pad is expected to exclude a 3.5mm headphone jack but will come equipped with stereo speakers.
Previous iterations of the vivo Pad2 included a keyboard case with a built-in trackpad and a stylus, so it remains to be seen whether these accessories will also be compatible with the iQOO Pad.
Further details and confirmation regarding the iQOO Pad’s specifications and features will likely be unveiled at the upcoming event. Stay tuned for more information.
